I'm sitting here with my beloved watching the Wings and the BCS Championship (yes, I'm watching both at the same time). I'm being a typical "man" and using the remote to switch from one game to another. I tried using the screen in screen but then I can't keep up with the puck. So I'm switching stations (and probably driving Arleen crazy).
The dogs are, as usual, sitting at my feet—well, Muffin is under the computer table guarding her chewie. She doesn't really chew it much, just guards it and growls at all the other dogs when they get too close to her stuff.
Dink is sleeping on his chair and Bentley is next to my chair. Tootsie goes from outside barking to sitting behind my chair. She is so close sometimes that when I move the chair, I practically run her over.
The birds were out tonight for a while. I didn't feel good this morning so they weren't let out. I thought I'd let them out this evening for a while. Unfortunately, Miss Dusty Beaker would not keep her beak off us, so she went back in her cage. She was not happy about that, but I don't like being chewed on! The Budgies went back in their cage as it started to get dark. I love my birds (did I say that before?).
I have been reading a lot of books about pets and their effect on their humans. Of course, I always knew how wonderful pets are, but I love reading the stories about pets saving/helping their guardians. I have read about mules, cats, dogs, and pigs saving their owners and performing so many miracles.
I am driving a transport this weekend. I will be transporting three small dogs (that's all I can fit in my little car) and I will also be keeping them overnight. That should make for a really exciting night with seven dogs in the house! Then on Sunday morning, I will take the dogs over to be taken on their way. They are all going to Ontario. Wish me luck! And yes, I will probably fall in love with all of them even if they're here for one night.
I'm gonna go eat a late dinner. I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Claudia and the critters...
