Today is a big day for Arleen. She will be doing the whole service today. Why? Yours truly has laryngitis.
Yup, I can hardly talk...just an occasional squeak. I had a really bad cold for a few days this week, including a really bad cough, and once the cold symptoms started subsiding, I lost my voice. I'm sure Arleen is enjoying this. She can talk all she wants and I can't answer her.
So Arleen gets to do the whole service today. Diana did say she would help and Arleen may get some of the other folks to help too. As for me, I'll just sit there looking stupid.
Miss Ruby got adopted yesterday. She went to a great home with another dog and a dog door. I know she'll be happy. Arleen took her to the adoption event and said she got along great with the other dog and gave the lady tons of kisses.
Guess it was meant to be.
Still, I miss the little stinker. We had her for around two months and she was really starting to grow on me.
But I think the other dogs, especially Muff, are glad she's gone. They like having me all to themselves.
I was going to take the dogs (Muff and Toots) for a walk this morning, but I'm still having trouble breathing and I cough whenever I exert myself. I'm trying to stop the coughing to help my voice heal. It's a vicious circle.
I guess I'll spend another day just sitting around.
It has been especially hard since the last two days were sunny, beautiful and in the 70s.
I really wanted to be outside working in the yard. The good news is that for the next three days it's going to be rainy and gloomy. That will definitely make it easier for me to stay inside.
Well, I have to go wake Arleen up and get ready for church. Everyone have a safe, blessed day.
Reverend Claudia and the critters...
