Kerri: Little dogs do seem to make up in attitude what they lack in size. We have a min. schnauzer and in her mind she is just a big as any other dog. We also can't seem to convince her doggies can't fly. She just pushes off from where ever we are holding her - thankfully we always have a good grip so she doen't fall. She's a blessing!
ia: congrats on getting the JOTW title..

It's been a busy week

I was sick for a while, started feeling better...then got sick again! YIKES!! I am now (finally!) feeling better. I hope it lasts this time. I was at an event all day today spreading the word about the church. Tootsie and Muffin went with me and definitely got a lot of attention. Afterwards, I took Muff and Toots for a little walk in the park where they found all the water and mud they could. Nice for tomorrow's service.

I was so sick last week I didn't write the church service until this morning. I still have to do the bulletin, print everything, and get it all ready for the service tomorrow. And instead I'm sitting here watching hockey and blogging. Oh well, I've done other bulletins on Sunday morning so it won't be the first time.

I find that whenever I take the dogs to the park, I get lost in the sheer joy they have running around, especially the joy Muffin has. You can see it and feel it whenever she's running.   Toots is a little more laid back, of course she's older too. But Muff just LOVES to run in the park and she shows it.

It makes me think about our human struggle to stay in the moment. A virtual impossibility with the mess the world is in. It's really hard sometimes to just relax and enjoy, but watching Muffin really helps me.  I lose myself in her passion and joy and at least for a moment or two, nothing matters but her running through the woods.

Just another way my animals help me remember to pause and enjoy the moment. God has given me so much by giving me these dogs to help, support, and love me.

Everyone have a safe, blessed weekend.

Reverend Claudia and the critters...
