It's a rule...just like the gasoline rule. The rules simply says that if I deeply water all my containers, it will definitely rain. The same way that if I buy gas at the least expensive price I can find, I will find it much cheaper as soon as my tank is filled. They are just a few of what I call "the rules of my life." Now I'm aware that there are other people out there who don't have to deal with these "rules," but not me. They are the rules of my life.
Don't get me wrong, God always seems to provide for me, no matter what, but the rules are just part of what I have to tolerate. For example, right now it is dark and windy outside. It very much looks like rain. But I haven't watered my containers outside, so I won't be surprised if the rain simply sails right by my house. Of course, if I give up and go outside and water the containers, it will definitely rain.
Oh well, that's life.
I'm going to be getting a foster puppy, at least I think I am. He is a 10-week old Cocker Spaniel with eye problems. He has at least one bulging eye. I'm not exactly sure when I'll be getting him, but I'm getting the house ready.
They don't know for sure if he's blind, but they think he might be, so this should be interesting. I studied up on handling a blind dog a year or so ago when I thought I would be fostering Gracie, but then I got another dog instead.
I told Julie I have no problem with a little blind puppy. He's paper trained so it should be easy to get him going outside. And I know my "mama" dog Toots will help with him.
Tomorrow is our anniversary...20 years together. And Arleen is supposed to babysit tomorrow night.
I guess we'll wait to celebrate until this weekend. 20 years...I can hardly believe it. Some days, it seems like we've been together for all of our lives and other times it seems like we've just begun. Amazing.
And I still love her madly. I wish we had the money to have a big party or go off for a romantic weekend, but... Maybe on our 25th anniversary.
In the meantime, I'm getting the house cleaned up and ready for our new foster pup.
Everyone have a safe, blessed day.
Rev. Claudia and the critters...
