On August 10, I wrote about getting a new foster puppy, Scruffie. On August 11th, I went back to the hospital, again. I was having more problems and they told me my kidney function wasn't good. The result: six days in the hospital, home for one day and back again to have more stones removed. YIKES!!
Arleen thinks this is a plan. When we first got Hank, I went in the hospital for four days. Now we get Scruffie and I go in the hospital for six days! She says she's tired of being the foster dog mom and hopes I'm home to stay this time. Me too, because the medical bills are piling up and, so far, the money isn't.
I lost out on one job opportunity because of being in the hospital. I couldn't get in touch with the guy until I got out then it was too late.
I have another prospect and I'm hoping nothing goes wrong this time.
The search for a new church home goes on, but it's slower than I'd like. Of course, the hospital setbacks haven't helped. But we're still looking.
Scruffie, the new foster dog, is adorable! He is a Papillion/Poodle mix and weighs all of 5-6 pounds. He is gray and white and has the cutest eyes. He still needs work on potty training and coming when he's called, but he's learning. During one of my hospital stays, Scruffie stayed with Arleen's daughter and her family. Her little granddaughter, Kelly, LOVED Scruffie and Scruffie LOVED her. Unfortunately, so far, daddy doesn't want another dog, so... Mom and daughter are still working on him.

Arleen has even fallen for Scruffie. He sure is cute. He has already had all his shots but needs to be neutered. I am waiting for an appointment. I don't think it'll take long for him to get adopted. He loves other dogs and kids.
Well, have to take Scruffie over to meet the Metro folks. Have a safe, blessed day.
Rev. Claudia and the critters...
