Mr. Scrufus McDufus (one of my nicknames for Scruffie) is growing on me and Arleen is already in love with him. He is really a sweet, lovable puppy and we both love him. I find myself almost wishing I hadn't asked Metro to help us with him, but financially, I can't take on another dog, especially a puppy who needs neutering and stuff. Still, he is a sweetheart...
Kelly (Arleen's granddaughter) and Sandra (Arleen's daughter) really fell in love with him too. And Mr. Scruffie LOVES Kelly. When Arleen picked him up to bring him back home, he tried to jump out of the car to go back to Kelly.
I have to contact Metro this week to find out if Scruffie is going to be neutered and groomed soon. He definitely needs a good grooming. He has many, many knots and mats in his fur, especially around his behind. Muff, Toots, and Dink need baths and trims too, but, again, finances are limited.
I got a possible job but like many others now-a-days, I have to take a ton of tests and drug and background tests before I can even have an interview. YIKES! I will be working on all of that today so I can try and land this job. Arleen keeps asking me if I think I can work and I am still struggling with that.
I can do some things but I am not sure if I can work 8-10 hours a day five-days a week. I guess I'll find out. I would still prefer to work than be on disability, if I can. But many of the problems I have intrude on my daily life and impede my efforts. I admit I haven't been as careful with my diabetes as I should have been and I'm now having problems that probably could have been avoided. But that's in the past. I need to focus on today and the future to get myself better. And so I will.
Everyone have a safe, blessed day.
